Guarantee

1. Remedial Works:

The company shall endeavour to make good any remedial works in a colour, pattern, and finish as specified in the original contract; but no assurance can be given that an exact recreation may be achieved as this depends upon the availability of materials.

2. Scope of Guarantee:

This guarantee covers the installation for reasonable domestic use, but does not extend to cover damage resulting from accident, misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance (including re-pointing if necessary), impact damage, commercial or industrial use, or staining caused by any substance whatsoever.

3. Settlement:

Settlement attributable to the construction of the works is covered but settlement attributable to construction of work not the responsibility of the company is not covered. Cover for any settlement in the ground at a level lower than that exposed during construction, resulting from, for example, the failure or collapse of any pre-existing installation, is excluded.

4. Subsoil Movement:

Movement, expansion or contraction of subsoil or base due to changes in temperature, water content and tree root activity are outside the control of the company and no guarantee can therefore be given should any damage occur due to these or related factors.

5. Drainage:

This guarantee covers failure of the paving to drain properly, in that if, after rainfall, when the rest of the paving has dried out, there is an area that is still retaining water. Some settlement of paving when first trafficked is to be expected and does not affect the serviceability.

6. Efflorescence:

In their early life, products may appear to lose some intensity of colour or even experience a milky white stain on the surface. This may be attributable to a phenomenon known as efflorescence, which is of a temporary nature, and is not harmful to the performance of the paving. The installer cannot accept responsibility for the occurrence of this defect and the product will be covered under the terms of the supplier.

7. Surface Weeds:

This guarantee does not cover surface weeds. These are weeds that are caused by seeds being dropped by birds, animals or blown in by the wind which then take root. Drivetech Patios and Landscaping has no control over this and cannot be held liable as such.

8. Invasive Weeds:

This guarantee does not cover Horsetail, also known as mare’s tail, or other invasive weeds and plants. These weeds are highly invasive, deep-rooted perennial weeds that have fast growing underground stems. Drivetech Patios and Landscaping have no control over this and therefore, cannot be held liable.

9. Notification of Defects:

In the event of a defect arising, which may be covered by this guarantee, full written details must be submitted to the company within seven days of the discovery of the alleged defect.

10. Transfer of Guarantee:

The guarantee is non-transferable and only applies to the person named in the schedule.

11. Improper Use:

Shifted or sunken pavers due to improper use, such as vehicles or lawn mowers driving on or off the edges, are not covered under the warranty.

12. Natural Occurrences:

Natural occurrences and acts of God are not covered by the warranty.

13. Guarantee Voidance:

The guarantee is void if new excavation, digging, or soil removal occurs within 10 feet of the finished paver system.

14. Pre-Existing Conditions:

Drivetech Patios & Landscaping Ltd cannot be held responsible for the structural condition of existing surfaces or any sub-surface issues. Customers must inform Drivetech Patios & Landscaping Ltd of any pooling before resin application.

15. Resin-Bound Surface Characteristics:

The specialist resin-bound surface will follow the underlying surface profile. Drivetech Patios & Landscaping Ltd accept no responsibility for drainage issues or standing water on groundwork not installed by Drivetech Patios & Landscaping Ltd.

16. Colour Variation:

Due to natural aggregates, slight colour variation may occur in the surface.

17. Installation:

Drivetech Patios & Landscaping Ltd strive for seamless resin installation. However, in cases where this is not possible, an aluminum expansion joint or block line may be installed, and work will resume promptly. 18. *Safety Precautions*: Upon completion, Drivetech Patios & Landscaping Ltd will mark the area as hazardous and not safe for walking due to the wet resin, and it is the owner’s responsibility to prevent damage once the team leaves.

19. Curing Time – Walking:

The completed resin surface should not be walked on for at least 12 hours after installation.

20. Curing Time – Driving:

The completed resin surface should not be driven on with any vehicle for a minimum of 3 full days after installation.

21. Natural Expansion and Contraction:

Drivetech Patios & Landscaping Ltd will not hold any responsibility for natural expansion and contraction of resin or where negligence has caused the resin to crack by forcing the resin driveway or patio into soft ground, e.g., (grass verges parallel to resin).

22. Level Variations:

Minor level variations may be visible in the resin when low sunlight or artificial light is cast over the resin surface; this is due to the surface being hand-troweled using natural stone.

23. Vehicle Weight Limitation:

All of our resin-bound surfaces are strength-rated for domestic and not HGV vehicles. Drivetech Patios & Landscaping Ltd will not accept any responsibility for any damages caused when the surface has been used for a commercial vehicle over 2.5 tons.
